Training for Employment (TFE)

This program is designed to be a learner-centred and highly interactive training program; whereas it will be delivered through experiential and interactive activities that allow participants to understand, discuss, practice and acquire the skills necessary for their future employment.  TFE draws on local culture and systems to ensure that the curriculum and training methodology meet with the expectations and needs of different participants.This aims to improve the eligibility of PWD in to join the workforce, through using a multi-staged approach by teaching unemployed PWD the essential work skills and supporting their transition into work.

7 hours/ training day


  • Communication Skills (3 days)

  • Presentation Skills (3 days)

  • Self Management (4 days)

  • Coping with change (1 day)

  • Teamwork (1 day)

  • Business Etiquette (1 day)

  • All About Me (Emotional Intelligence) (3 days)

Other Activities:

  • Coaching/ open door sessions (one to one)

Program's Outcomes:

  • Enhance skills of candidates to meet client’s requirements and needed competencies.

  • Change employees’ perception towards disability.

  • Break social and emotional boundaries towards persons with disabilities.

  • Increase persons with disabilities’ possibilities of being matched with suitable jobs.

  • Training needs assessment report on all candidates.

  • Selection of successful candidates in their prospective jobs.
